Chief Of Capability
As Chief of Capability I have overall responsibility for all capability development and management for Component Engineering. Accountable for developing and implementing the roadmaps for our digital transformation through standardisation, automation and new technologies. Key activities include coordinating the deployment and delivery of the Model Based Definition program for the Design Engineering community, working closely with our supply chain design teams and the IT Capability group delivering the capability. As a stress engineer, I was responsible for assessing individual components or larger systems to ensure they meet the necessary structural integrity requirements. To do this I performed a number of different analysis types including 2D and 3D elastic and creep FE analyses, corrosion assessments, dynamics evaluations and statistical evaluations. In addition I achieved Green Belt accreditation by running a project, using Process Excellence techniques, looking at the factors affecting component weight variation.
