The TSS Immigration business was acquired by CIBT in March 2019. Post the acquisition appointed to the role of Commercial Director Australia and Singapore heading up business development for the Newland Chase and CIBTVisas businesses.

Reporting to the Managing Director, General Manager for the TSS Immigration business managing a team of over 20 staff, covering the commercial management and business development aspects of the business operations. TSS Immigration offers legal services including Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) applications, visa lodgement, and permanent residency applications with a team of registered migration agents. Our recruitment business, TSS Recruitment offers off-shore permanent placement recruitment for niche roles effected by skills shortages in Australia.

Manager for International Recruitment for the SKILLED Group businesses including SKILLED Workforce Services, Off Shore Marine Services, ATIVO, Origin Healthcare and Mosiac.Responsible for maintaining SKILLED Group's on-hire labour agreement (OHLA) with the Department of Immigration & Border Protection including successful negotiating new 3 year agreement and annual ceiling.Negotiated a commercial agreement with a major north American recruitment company to source trade and technical based employees for the Australian market.Supply strategies for the recruitment of skilled workers from overseas locations including Australasia, Europe, North America and Asia servicing industries including Mining, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, FMG, IT&T and Health.

Manager of Fly-In Fly-out (FIFO) recruitment team covering mining production, trades and engineering comprising approx. 15 recruiters placing >900 employees per annum (generating circa $85 million revenue over several business units) with an operating budget of circa $1.5 million. Manager with profit and loss responsibility of WA Technical Professional business unit with an annual sales budget of circa $13 million – increased by more than 20% during time of responsibility.Formulating and implementing strategic talent acquisition initiatives for sourcing on a national and international basis. Formulate and implement strategic initiatives relating to workforce planning and utilization for key customers. Overseeing staff retention initiatives including conducting, analyzing and acting upon staff culture survey.Negotiated and secured a commercial agreement with a major North American recruitment company to source trade and technical based employees for the Australian market. Traveled to the United States to recruit high end trade roles for use in the WA mining industry. Regional responsibility for indigenous recruitment program.

Strategic sourcing solutions for the resources sector including identifying labour sources nationally, identifying overseas labour sources, attending international recruitment expos, researching and executing strategic sourcing and recruiting methods.

Regional Manager for change management and process review for WA and SA regions (15 business units in total) – reporting to national corporate group working across SKILLED Group brands and business units.Conduct Six Sigma business improvement projects (Green Belt Level); Reviewing and re-engineering payroll to a centralised shared service format from branch based in WA and SA to Melbourne head office based – more than 50,000 payroll transactions annually. Review of procurement to pay process – including external vendors and clients with RCTI with more than 30,000 transactions annually.

State Manager for shared service recruitment group including a recruitment team of 4 managers and 25 staff over 3 functional departments recruiting for tradespersons, production and technical professional occupations placing >700 employees per annum (generating circa $70 million revenue over several business units). Manager with profit and loss responsibility of WA Technical Professional business unit with an annual sales budget of circa $10 millionRestructured the shared services reducing head count by 12 FTE’s and approx. $700k saving on operating budget. Responsible for generalist human resources functions for business unit. Business improvement projects including re-engineering recruitment processes

Branch supported >200 Field Employees working in Mining and Engineering industries covering positions in Technical Professionals, Trades, Shutdown Crews, Semi-Skilled and Administration occupations.ER functions for branch such as union interface and EBA negotiations, award, EBA and AWA interpretation. Advising client base on appropriate remuneration and salary packages for occupations. Responsibility for branch Occupational Health & Safety planning, supervision and compliance.

Rollout of SKILLED HRIS (Axiom) to WA branches and training of branch staff. Day to day supervision of up to 5 Operational staff recruiting for field staff in Trades, Shutdown Crews and Semi-Skilled occupations. Responsible for generalist human resources functions. Award, EBA and AWA interpretation.
