Operational Policing

Leading a large team, I hold responsibility for the immediate response to critical incidents and for the management of a wide range of operational activities across a busy and challenging London borough. I bring a considered approach, processing information quickly and accurately to consistently ensure the most appropriate response is actioned. This diverse and demanding role often requires fast response to emerging and ‘real time’ incidents alongside the ability to understand and manage the longer term effect on the community.I manage the resourcing of a 24/7 response service, ensuring staff are available in appropriate areas and at times of highest demand. I conduct initial investigations at the scene of serious and major crimes, ensuring the preservation of evidence and to aid investigations. This demanding role requires effective management of diverse, often high priority, issues simultaneously; I consistently demonstrate the ability to think clearly even under the most challenging circumstances. During this time, I served as a custody officer; a challenging role requires the ability to think calmly in high tension environments whilst remaining cognisant of the requirements of all legal and moral demands. I was responsible for the reception, detention, release and overall care of individuals brought into a large London custody suite. As a Football Intelligence Officer, attached to Brentford FC, I provide intelligence packages to support policing operations. In addition, I assist on Central London footballing operations, England games, Champions League finals and Cup Finals. I have also been deployed to Heathrow to support the UK Football Policing Unit with England football matches abroad and tournaments. I serve as match commander at football matches and other public events. This role includes management of public order planning, including strategy, tactics, systems and equipment resourcing.

Borough Policing

I began my service as a constable, moving through a wide foundation of training and development. I worked in a range of roles including as a response officer, tasked with the immediate management of critical incidents and various operational activities. This role required a thoughtful and considered approach, often under pressure of time and tight budgetary constraints. I brought an assured leadership approach, demonstrating an ability to manage a diversity of issues, influence widely and to process information quickly and accurately. Working within a neighbourhood setting, I managed local concerns and investigated crime; bringing a personable approach with diplomacy and a real interest in local issues that effected residents. I consistently demonstrated a considerate approach using exceptional conflict management skills and an ability to connect meaningfully even in the most challenging of circumstances. I worked in a range of roles from the investigation of volume crimes through to specialist units tasked with the pro-active targeting of known offenders. I worked in covert and overt settings to challenge the use and distribution of drugs and to tackle robberies and burglaries throughout the borough.

Surrey

I provided a range of tasks from initial property valuations, through to marketing properties and monitoring sales as they proceeded. I liaised effectively with partners to ensure smooth sale transitions; setting branch and negotiator targets.

I began work with this company, starting as a sales assistant and progressing to department manager. I held responsibility for a team of employees tasked with stock management, delivery and store security.
