Accountable for overall leadership of a curtainwalll project portfolio totaling over $200 million in contract value. Projects consisted of educational, commercial office and condominium residential buildings with highly complex and detailed facades that included dual walls that incorporated computer controlled roller shades and state of the art hurricane resistance technology. Administered the projects from point of sale to final closeout. Maintained strong client relations throughout the design, construction and closeout phases. These relations required high levels of collaboration throughout each process. Oversaw and reported the financial and schedule status of each project, including change orders associated to owner, design team, client or vendor actions. Directed foreign and domestic vendor and subcontractor buyouts and management. Collaborated with in house and vendor engineering groups to assure the compliance of the curtainwall system design to the project requirements, incorporation of the latest innovation in the marketplace, as well as, its ability to be delivered in a timely manner and constructed by the field crews. Developed and mentored a project staff for each project which could include senior project managers, project managers and assistant project managers. - Special emphasis was made in making sure each team member understand their responsibility to assure a safe work environment that produced a top quality product.

Responsible for the complete revitalization of the corporate training program. Developed and created a blended learning environment in which online course that were specific to the curtainwall industry were created in house and non-industry specific courses were outsourced to online course vendors. One on one and group learning classes were created for topics that required more teaching efforts than an online course could offer. To accompany this blended learning approach, a wisdom management segment of Enclos University was developed such that the “student” could put into action through a controlled, hands on, approach to what they learned through the blended learning environment. The end goal is to reduce the amount of time it takes for an employee to advance within the company.- While Director of Enclos University, I was responsible for college recruitment and company relationships with the universities.- Enclos University was also responsible for the company’s Research and Development. During this time, protocols for protecting the company’s proprietary designs were created, a patent application process was developed and patent applications were submitted for products derived as a result of the Research and Development program. - Enclos University is featured in the book “The Next Generation of Corporate Universities: Innovative Approaches for Developing People and Expanding Organizational Capabilities”. Mark Allen (Editor) I co-authored with Mark Allen a chapter on the use of corporate universities in small companies.

Accountable for the day to day leadership of the teams that oversaw the start to completion of a $33 million dollar multi-use building curtainwall in Chicago, Il and a $57 million dollar multi-use building curtainwall in New York, NY. On each project the management team was responsible for the overall financial health and schedule compliance. Multiple suppliers and subcontractors were employed, it was the team’s responsibility to properly contract and manage each supplier and subcontractor. Each curtainwall was unique in their nature. The project in New York consisted of a 7 story conical curtainwall that enclosed the central meeting area that connected two towers. This central area was capped by an inverted sloped skylight. The project in Chicago had, at its time, the tallest planar glass supported curtainwall system in the world. In each case, the projects were constructed on very limiting sites. The utmost in planning and coordination was required to create the success of each curtainwall project.
