I am a member of the Standing Committee of Analysts (Organic Chemistry). The Committee exists to provide authoritative guidance on methods of sampling and analysis of waters and effluents, sewage sludges, sediments, soils (including contaminated land) and biota. The primary duty of SCA will be to develop and publish recommended analytical methods.I am a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and achieved Chartered Chemist Status.I currently chair the Sustainability group at the laboratory and make improvements to our site to ensure we are efficient and environmentally conscious of the tasks we perform. I am a trained Quality Auditor. I am part of the Emergency GCMS full scan incident team responding to out of hours incidents affecting water quality.
