Key achievements within this role = Turnaround of machine downtime within the plant using the lean approach and metrics in order to drive accountability and empowerment within the team .This resulted in reduction in machine downtime by 20% increasing productivity efficiency. Played a key role in the reduction of scrap levels by 10% over a 3 month period therefore reducing unnecessary cost to the business.I successfully managed a team of 30 people across 3 manufacturing departments, Foundry, Furnace and Core Shop implementing production schedules and delivery production requirements in line with customer demand ensuring Health and Safety Standards and Quality Standards were met at all times whilst remaining within budget. Practised Continuous Improvement and drive lean initiatives adopting a root cause analysis within the team to drive down failures in production.I liaised with many other departments on a daily basis adjusting my communication styles in order to have maximum impact and influence to drive progression and awareness for my area.

My role was to support the Foundry Manager with the Management of the teams and the production requirements.
