Collaborated across various disciplines to account for electrical safety in designs, procedures, work plans, and field interactions, and delivered engineering services successfully to meet stakeholder needs.- Responsible for site-wide application of Reliability-Centered Maintenance to electrical assets across all areas of the operating plant:-- Researched, developed, and applied equipment care strategies for all major electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, MCC, motors, cables, UPS/batteries, motor operated valves, cables, etc.) including rigorous review/approval for technical completeness, state-of-the-art monitoring methods, and cost-- Individually studied 900+ equipment tags and planned optimum preventive/predictive/condition-based maintenance actions in place of legacy time-based maintenance tasks, integrating diverse perspectives to meet operational, functional, safety, and regulatory needs- Streamlined and optimized electrical deliverables for the site tank cleaning program:-- Reduced typical turnaround time for temporary electrical systems design from months to days through extensive stakeholder communications, after-action reviews, hazardous locations analysis, and equipment standardization-- Specified, purchased, inspected, installed, and commissioned over $400k in bespoke temporary equipment including motor/pump skids, distribution transformers, and lighting, resulting in millions of dollars in life-cycle savings compared to typical diesel-driven rental equipment- Applied root cause analysis to evaluate electrical failures and implemented improvement programs to manage and mitigate threats to reliability and availability.- Developed, reviewed, and applied electrical safety rules complying with Canadian Electrical Code and CSA Z462.
