Dionysus is distributed by Independent Label Distribution (ILD). I host a show called "Over Under Sideways Down" every Wednesday at 3 - 5 PM PST - as the name implies, each show is based on a different theme. Most of the music I play spans the '40s through the early '80s and shows the deeper, more obscure and rare side of blues, R&B, rockabilly, instrumental and surf, '60s garage, psychedelic, '70s glam, proto punk and '70s punk. I also have a series of guests, mostly local luminaries from Los Angeles' music scene such as LA Weekly writer and booker Johnny Whiteside, What and Iloki Records' Chris Ashford, Frontier Records' Lisa Fancher, ex-members of The Pandoras, artist William Stout, X drummer and Orchestra Superstring vibes player DJ Bonebrake, Tucson garage rock legend and long time A&M Records staff member Manny Freiser, TV/Film composer and exotica legend Robert Drasnin, Former Plugz, Cruzados and current Martini Kings bassist Tony Marsico, Doo-Wop record collector Jay Marshack and many others! Some of my shows go off into a bit of comedy and improvisation such as the ongoing early underground FM salutes and the French YeYe - Pop - Psych shows featuring my fake translator Mimi Me Me. Always a fun show!
