For years, I have dedicated my life to educating the local communities I serve about environmental issues and have a record of highlighting climate advocacy globally. This journey started in college (UCF- Go Knights!) when I began my work as a Board member of the Florida Native Plant Society while educating young students during an internship at the Environmental Science Center and seasonally, at an ecology camp at the Ed Yarborough Geneva Wilderness Area in Seminole County Florida. I was raised gardening and truly found myself when I turned my passions into an occupation as the Urban Agriculture Program Director for Fleet Farming.With this position, I immersed myself in Climate Advocacy while supporting the mission of minimizing the ecological footprint of the agriculture industry by converting lawns into micro-farms. In 2019, the mother non-profit of Fleet Farming called IDEAS For Us saw this passion and promoted me to the Chief Operations Officer of the entire United Nations accredited global NGO. I thrived in this part of my journey, developing environmental action projects in Energy, Water, Food, Waste and Ecology throughout various international Branches. During the Summer of 2020, I began political work while overseeing the campaign development to Save Save Split Oak Forest and push for a Right to Clean Water Charter Amendment in Orange County FL. As of December 2020, I moved to the Board of Directors in order to join Environmental Lawyer and District 1 County Commissioner, Nicole Wilson as her Senior Aide where I helped move a progressive agenda in local Orange County Government. I then became a Florida Democratic Party Campaign Manager to help the most impactful environmental hero in my community: Representative Carlos Guillermo Smith. In 2023, Florida Rising reached out to me to apply for their Regional Director position and help craft a data-driven outreach strategy in Black and Brown Communities to help engage residents on local policy. This effort helped engage membership and educate voters to lead to more informed higher voter turnout. The issue based outreach included affordable housing advocacy, Climate Resilience work, Criminal Justice Reform, LGBTQ+ Gender Justice and Democracy Expansion. Now, I am working on my own Campaign Strategy business to help grassroots candidates, nonprofits, small businesses and issue-based campaigns develop organizational structure to help the movement grow in the Central Florida Region.Personally, I reside in Orlando Florida with my Husband Ernesto and Pit Bull Rescue, Moo.
