Managed all aspects of a busy AABB-accredited Immunohematology Reference Laboratory with a staff of 35 and 7 direct reports. Performed resolution of highly complex serological problems, review of all test results and preparation of patient reports, along with management of rare donor inventory (freezing, deglycerolizing and washing red blood cells). Also implemented template for patient report, reducing turn-around-time for report generation from 3-4 months to an average of less than 10 days. Enhanced staffing schedules to provide 24/7 coverage with no on-call time.

Managed all aspects of AABB Accredited Immunohematology Reference Lab. Transformed from ~$700,000 to $4 million revenue and 15 to 25 staff members. Managed contracts for 100+ client transfusion facilities and prepared >1200 red cell units for transfusion each month. Implemented 100% leukoreduction of red cell products and new methodology for counting residual white blood cells (flow cytometry). Also implemented template for patient report, reducing turn-around-time for report generation from 3-4 months to less than 30 days. Added documentation of CPT coding to increase reimbursement for client facilities. Implemented SafeTrace TX for management of patient testing data.
