- Relocated from Ontario to oversee CAS' Western Canada expansion including 8 retail locations, a 60,000 sq foot distribution center in Calgary and a 3PL warehouse in Vancouver.- Navigated Western Canadian Operations during the COVID-19 Pandemic to meet surging demand- Oversaw day to day operations for all Alberta, Manitoba, and British Columbia locations- Process driven, constantly refining established processes and implementing new ones to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance across all levels of the organization.- Ongoing business process mapping, process improvement, and change management as our presence grows in this market.- Designs, develops and implements functional strategies to complex business processes initiatives utilizing various technologies- Drives and supports transformation efforts through process discipline, standardization, alignment, and governance-Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to identify and close process or technical gaps- Train others on process methodology and best practices- Develops sustainable and scalable business process solutions

One of my highlights in this role was my process automation of the product returns system. I utilized my knowledge of our internal systems to automate a key component of the returns department day to day work. As a result, the automation reduced the returns department labour by more than 50%The additional process improvements and automation provided CAS with more detailed visibility on expected inventory, credits and debits.- Oversees the day to day tasks of the returns and service departments- Responsible for evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures to optimize effectiveness and efficiency- Reviewed opportunities for process automation and improvement- Works with in-house IT team to implement changes - Prepares training documentation for staff on new systems and processes

Some of the key aspects of my role included;- Preparing successful grant funding applications on behalf of numerous artists to support touring and marketing initiatives- Preparing successful business grant applications to support the growth and expansion of the organization.  - Developing and implementing business processes to support the acquisition-based growth of the business and spearheaded the integration of multiple sub-labels into new accounting and inventory systems.- Managing the relationship with international (USA, UK, Germany, Australia) distributors in a manner that built trust and created operational efficiencies. Including managing shipping and customs requirements for each market.- Facilitating the album production process with graphic designers, print houses, and CD manufacturers to ensure release dates were met.- Routinely identifying creative operational solutions to business challenges in response to the declining physical music market.
