This also includes working alongside the team at the Playhouse Whitley Bay to support school, community group and family bookings to help achieve desired outputs for the entire production run. As the Creative Enterprise Mentor I work with TICE students across a range of programmes including Future Business Magnates (FBM) with Business Durham (Year 7's and 8's) and the TICE programme (Year 9+) to encourage creative thinking and entrepreneurial ideas with a view to inspire and consider potential enterprise opportunities within the creative and digital industries. I also deliver 'The TICE Enterprise Day' designed to give students (Year 8+) an introduction to business and enterprise, within the context of creating an innovative idea around themes such as AR apps and with the aim to inspire an entrepreneurial mindset. This particular workshop is designed as a 2 hourly session with approximately 60 students and adapted to suit school topic specific/curriculum requests. 2016 - 2019 I delivered a series of Enterprise Support sessions as part of the Ladders Programme for Generator for those aged 18 - 24 looking to create careers within the digital and creative sectors. The workshops and individual 1-2-1’s were designed to take a business idea and help explore and understand entrepreneurial creativity from initial concept to the end product. The sessions focused on key elements including writing a business plan, keeping financial records, funding support, marketing, branding and the power of networking. This is Creative Enterprise (TICE) CIC is a non-profit organisation dedicated to support young students in exploring the creative sector in regards to career prospects and/or the choices in vocational and academic pathways. Since 2006, TICE has provided creative educational programmes, competitions, projects, short courses, careers days, STE(A)M days and much more as additional and integrated support in primary and secondary schools throughout the North East region.
