Currently furthering my knowledge of programming on a thirteen-week C# Software Development bootcamp with Northcoders, due to finish by mid-February 2025.Daily pair programming is with different individuals every day, and I am using my previous experience to help those on the bootcamp with less of a programming background by means of helping them understand more complex programming and C#-specific concepts, or offering general advice about their code.While I'm already feeling the benefits of a test-driven development (TDD) approach to software development in NUnit, by the end of the bootcamp I will also be familiar with the intricacies of Microsoft SQL Server, ADO.NET and Entity Framework, as well as having demonstrable full-stack development experience with a C# and .NET backend and Blazor-augmented ASP.NET Core frontend.

Actively developed product features at a fast-paced and dynamic start-up, creating an AI-empowered solution to guide financial decision-making for companies and clients harbouring large client portfolios.Deployed multiple times daily to AWS using Serverless IaC YAML configuration, implemented rigorous unit and integration testing via Jest to ensure persistent code integrity, and scheduled regular code reviews with the lead developer. Frequently interfaced and integrated with the API of OpenAI, as well as APIs of external business platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Intercom and HubSpot to securely ingest client business data into internal PostgreSQL and vector-based databases for further processing.As described in my "About" section, my SQL proficiency alongside a growing trust placed in me throughout my internship, resulted in me being tasked to develop a new scalable onboarding architecture for internal database schemas to store data held across business platforms from both existing and future customers. Upon deploying my solution in production, development pressures caused by a previously-necessitated simultaneous focus on onboarding new clients alongside creating new product features were eliminated, allowing development efforts to be focused entirely on improving offerings for customers.Other notable contributions I made included a 10% reduction in monthly AWS spend from independent debugging and resolving of an issue with the Serverless AWS SDK, which caused deployed AWS Lambda functions to timeout and reinvoke themselves, and a 50% improvement in reliability of the product's AI-augmented search functionality by optimising the way in which data was indexed and stored within provisioned vector-based Pinecone databases.In order to contribute to the company’s future, I continuously learnt and applied new tech stacks so that I could add value irrespective of whichever direction the start-up leant in the short-term.

Undertook a comprehensive three-month ICT Cloud course to equip myself with foundational knowledge across a wide range of IT-related topics. This broader view of the tech sector offered me a valuable higher-level understanding of how my self-taught programming skills would fit into the industry at large - serving as a useful primer which facilitated my transition into tech.Areas covered included software development within Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and ITIL 4 frameworks, IT networking, MDM solutions, serverless and server-based deployment of applications and containers in AWS and Azure, and security, risk mitigation and management tools for cloud computing.
