Charis Lee is a Associate Strategy Officer at Gates Foundation. She is proficient in Spanish. Charis was the team’s captain, and she exemplified all the necessary qualities of being a successful team leader: patience, problem solving, passion, and execution. As we worked to develop a new level of understanding of our partner organization’s volunteer market, Charis led our data analytics, creating visual graphics that led to insights around who the volunteers currently are and potential new industries to target in recruiting. This project happened over 2 months, and, as the world entered more uncertainty as the pandemic got worse, Charis led her teammates through this change, motivating four other students to a recommendation while working remotely from different parts of the world.
