I am excited to be back in college athletics as an intern for the USF Athletics Compliance Office under great leadership from the USF staff and attorneys. The Compliance Office ensures that USF Athletics is following all forms NCAA regulation from recruiting and eligibility to financial aid and academics. They also proactively educate players, coaches, and administration on regulations. Issues like "name image and likeness," player compensation, and sports gambling are currently in the national spotlight and will undoubtedly change college athletics in the near future. I am excited to get great insight and experience into how Universities respond to the regulations, legislation, and case outcomes.

Summer Law Clerk for the liability/insurance defense department. I am very grateful to the kind people at Rissman for a great and truly invaluable summer in such a strange and difficult time. I spent the summer getting first hand, in-person experience and education from some of Florida's top attorneys. I attended depositions and mediations and other various meetings, assisted with drafting documents, and completed legal research. On top of learning countless things everyday about insurance defense law and medical malpractice litigation, I also learned a great deal about how to operate as an attorney, schedule, bill, and react to the fast changing environments of the legal world and professional world in a pandemic.

As Student Assistant I had various roles across the Marketing and Communications department for one Athletics/Academic year. My first role began at the beginning of May 2018 when I began assisting the Assistant Athletic Director with managing the budget across all sports for the Marketing and Communications department. I tracked and organized budget activity, created and operated an active network of excel spreadsheets, and helped communicate the status of each sport's budget. Another role I had was one of 3 people (2 student assistants and 1 staff member) who ran "Crimson Tide Access." Crimson Tide Access was a revenue creating fan engagement program where fans could purchase experience packages for Football, Men's Basketball, Gymnastics, and Baseball. I managed the sale of packages, acted as customer service to fans, and operated the in-game experiences with the fans. Fans would be able to be on the field/court/mat right next to the action for things like team warmups, team field entrance, tunnel runs, and kickoffs. Finally as Student Assistant I helped manage the marketing activities of various sports. I was team-lead for Men's Tennis marketing operations, created marketing plans, promoted fan engagement, managed interns, and operated in-game marketing and operations. I also assisted with ticketed sports operations such as Gymnastics, Men's and Women's Basketball, Baseball, and Softball.

Volunteer internship with the University of Alabama Athletics Trademark Licensing and Marketing Departments. As Trademark Licensing intern I compiled royalty, sales, average unit price, and units sold totals from licensees such as Fanatics, Nike, and individual crafters for yearly licensee overview reports. In addition \I also conducted internet and field research to find issues of trademark infringement stemming from unauthorized creation and sale of Alabama Athletics associated products. I was able to learn a great deal about NCAA and Intellectual Property regulation and law, learn about its enforcement, and learn about the complex world of collegiate licensing and sales. As a Marketing intern, my job was to assist Student Assistants and Full-Time Staff with the in-game marketing operations of Alabama Athletics. I was ultimately part of the base group that help make sporting events exciting without ever noticing you are there. I helped with operations in almost every Alabama sport in roles such as spotlight operation, smoke machine operation, fan service desk, giveaways and in-game contests, national anthem, grassroots marketing, and more! I gained great respect for the many many jobs that help make sporting events run from the first day they are scheduled to the last second on the clock.
