I currently lead product at Google Cloud AI Research. I oversee the productization and commercialization of AI research within Cloud AI. Our group enables new capabilities or improve existing products through novel research methods for platforms and services, namely Vertex AI (Google Cloud’s AI/ML platform).Previously, I was part of the core team that led the launch of Google Cloud’s Generative AI offerings, namely Generative AI on Vertex AI and Generative AI App Builder (https://cloud.google.com/ai/generative-ai). Responsibilities included: overall GTM strategy, briefing high profile customer’s C-Suite and technical teams, developing the first-ever Generative AI use case taxonomy, and collecting and triaging customer product feedback.Prior to that, I co-led Cloud AI Discovery at Google, which served as Google Cloud AI’s innovation arm and vanguard of applied AI. The team sat between product and research and informed leadership of future Cloud AI product development opportunities. It was a specialized group that oversaw projects dedicated to piloting novel AI/ML solutions through proof of concepts that addressed challenging real-world problems and provided early product validations to enabled future Cloud AI product developments.I am a recipient of the 2023 Google Cloud Customer Empathy Award for the quick GTM ramp-up for Cloud AI's Generative AI offerings (https://cloud.google.com/ai/generative-ai), and also the 2021 Google Feats of Engineering Award, which recognizes technical projects with significant impact, for contributing to the successful launch of Vertex AI (https://cloud.google.com/vertex-ai).
