• The primary on-site support programmer/analyst for the FIS team at Banco Wal-mart Mexico for 5+ years. Responsible for investigating, analyzing and resolving a wide variety of client issues related to the Profile Banking System. • Retrofitted FIS core code from StarTeam and Subversion to the client’s code base.• Mentored the client programmers' custom Profile development.• Worked on a number of projects, including:* Analyzed and developed a PROSA card transaction in-clearing enhancement which reduced the daily processing time from about 105 minutes to 20 minutes (an 80% efficiency improvement) and stopped the processing of invalid incoming files by automatically first comparing the file detail record content with the trailer record.* Rebuilt the client’s application to extract data from Profile to flat files for their Oracle replication database using batch definitions and procedure definitions. Processing time was reduced from about 9 hours to 2 hours daily (a 75% efficiency improvement).* Developed enhancements which allowed for loan payments amounts to satisfy multiple bill records very fast and without GTM stack overflow or TP timeout errors being generated. * Rebuilt the client’s custom card transaction processing system (via flat files) in Profile. Also updated the FIS ISO8583 online card processing for efficiency and to customize it for the client’s requirements. * Retrofitted FIS VAT functionality to the client’s custom code.* Re-built several core Profile reports (eg. SCA045, SCA098, SCA098A, SCA403) to process faster by gathering the report data via a batch definition, by using a more direct data source or by eliminating unnecessary sorting of the report output. * Developed many one-time fix procedure definitions to resolve data issues in Production.

* ING DIRECT was the largest internet bank and the fourth largest thrift bank the United States at the time with over 5 million customers and US$80 billion in assets. I was a member of the 7-person Profile 6.2 banking system development team.* Acted as the lead Profile programmer on the Electric Orange account development project. Guided a team of developers to develop bill payment processing, electronic check requests, online ATM and debit card processing, funds transfers via email authorizations, tiered interest rates, specialized statements and automatic overdraft processing. The product grew in assets by approximately US $700 million per month on average. * Participated as the lead developer in the following projects - Yearend Tax Processing, Trust Account Registration, Online Debit Card Activation, and Promotional Bonus Transaction Processing.* Involved in the Production support for all banking system applications and the resolution of system balancing issues. * Involved in all project life cycle phases - Project Estimation, Design, Code Development, Unit Testing, Peer Review, Training, QA Support, Implementation Support, 3rd Tier Production Support, Performance Tuning.

* The goal of the project was to implement Sanchez’s Profile 6.4 banking system to service Scotiabank’s 700,000 Canadian mortgages. * Responsibilities involved developing a variety of advanced DataQWIK reports, developing Profile account to G/L verification and correction tools, and mentoring the skill development of Scotiabank’s three onsite Profile programmers.

* The goal of the project was to upgrade the client’s Profile banking system from version 4.4 to 6.2. The on-site team included about 4 analysts, 12 programmers, and 10 local staff.* Responsibilities involved re-applying local Profile customizations and debugging issues. Specifically this included Mumps code, batch definitions, procedure definitions, filers, DataQWIK screens and reports, Dayend processing, transaction processing, etc.* Installed and retrofitted approximately 30 Profile core releases into local customized code.* Developed training courses for Mumps TP Transaction Processing and Profile Dayend for later translation and training in Portuguese.

* The goal of the project was to convert approximately 330 of the Irish League of Credit Union’s 500 member credit unions from their various proprietary systems to the Profile for Windows banking system.* Responsibilities included providing technical support for the Profile application including Mumps database administration, code migration, Profile release installation, maintenance of about 20 Windows NT PCs with Profile for Windows instances, and VAX/VMS support. Also responsible for Profile, DataQWIK and Mumps error investigation.* I was the primary onsite Profile technical support and programmer resource.

Budapest, Hungary

* The goal of the project was to implement Profile for Windows and convert data into it from a previous banking system. It involved an on-site team of about 20 local analyst testers, 2 part-time IT support resources, 8 analyst consultants. * Responsibilities included being the primary onsite contact for all Profile technical support issues.* Created and delivered a 2-day training class on Profile/IBS and Profile for Windows application security for the 20 local analysts.

Budapest, Hungary

* The 6-week assignment was to recover Profile directories from having releases loaded out of sequence and customizations subsequently applied to the elements contained within them. This was achieved by creating a Mumps extraction routine to identify and output the most recent DataQWIK database elements from each directory to an extraction file. Also corrected some minor Profile, DataQWIK and Mumps programming issues.
