As a professional architect, I live comfortably in two worlds. In my personal practice I have taken projects large and small (from home remodels to 150,000 square foot mega-church campuses) and done it all - personally taking charge of the creative design, the negotiations with building departments, and the production of construction drawings. Recently however, I enjoyed a return to my larger scale, commercial roots and spent two years as a senior project architect at Callison, leading a 1 million square foot project, focused on the technical side of putting projects together.But when Callison had no new projects and released me, it left me to decide which world to pursue. I love both, and would gladly step back into the corporate world, but the economy being what it is, I realize this may not happen any time soon, so I have now happily re-established my 20 year old firm of Lee Kirk Architecture.Specialties: While I feel church and residential design are my strongest markets, I consider myself a generalist. Over my career I have had the opportunity to work on lots of fascinating projects in several categories such as Commercial Buildings, Commercial Tenant Improvements, High Tech facilities, Education, Medical / Dental and Industrial Buildings.
