(Contract) Training Co-ordinator, AMEY Rail, Exeter. Long-term contract (extended). I worked with an external consultancy team on an initial 6x month contract to change and update the trackside monitoring systems for AMY/Network Rail in relation to track improvements and upgrades across the south west rail network, this involved working on developing training programmes for all existing rail staff so they were able to effectively make the transition from the old system to the new one.•Supported the project team by arranging internal diaries & project meetings.•Attended project meetings and took the minutes which were then written up and distributed to the team. •Maintained & updated a comprehensive Excel records management spreadsheet.•Manipulated and extracted Excel data that was used to produce statistical reports.•Arranged all the training centre programmes and made sure of the relevant staffs availability to attend.•Worked closely with HR departments across the SW rail network in identifying which staff needed what level of re-training according to their role and seniority.•Arranged hotel bookings for the management team as well as for senior rail staff coming to Exeter for training.•Put together Power-point presentations for use in project meetings.•Extensive use of MS Office applications.Due to the nature and sheer demand of the project and co-ordinating Network Rail staff across the SW to attend training, the project over-ran for another 18x months.

Role: I worked within a small regional team based out of Bristol to work across permanent engineering recruitment covering a geographical area encompassing Bristol & the South West. I worked within all areas of engineering/logistics & manufacturing across the supply of CNC Lathe Operators to Senior Project Managers within the Aerospace/Defence/Rail & Automotive sectors. I left due to being made redundant due to market crash conditions which significantly impacted on the companies revenues, and led to the closure of a number of regional offices.

My role was to setup and deliver a programme to identify two talented ethnic graduates that DERA could sponsor through their university studies with the ultimate aim of employing them directly after they graduated. •Responsible for identifying and arranging project meetings with ethnic minority organisations and charity groups throughout the UK.•Attended various ethnic forums and conferences as a representative for the civil service in discussing issues surrounding ethic employability issues.•Arranged and attended forum meetings for ethnic groups and senior management staff within the civil service.•Worked closely with the senior members of the project team by arranging diaries, writing up project documents and team minutes, developing power point presentations and tracking spread-sheets on Excel.•Because of the nature and sensitivity of the position and the documentation I was handling I had to be security cleared to civil service requirements.
