Co-led visioning and directed implementation of strategy for 501(c)(3) that provides inclusive outdoor adventures designed to share the benefits of nature with people from all walks of life, including people with disabilities, youth from racially and ethnically diverse and/or low-income backgrounds, and all others who face structural or systemic barriers to the use of public lands and waters.Co-developed and implemented strategies for programmatic, organizational, and financial stability and growth. Co-directed the annual fund; managed a large portfolio of donors; directed the Great River Race event; and co-directed institutional fundraising. Built and managed budgets; managed and drove continuous improvement of financial reporting for use by staff and the board. Promoted and built custom trips for schools, nonprofits, camps, families, and corporate groups. Regularly presented at board and committee meetings, including the Executive, Finance, and Governance Committees.➢ Achieved a 60% increase in revenue and doubled the number of people served over seven years.➢ To support growing the budget from $1.5 million to $2.7 million, raised a new high annual fund total of $425,000; increased program revenue by 17%; and added 14 Great River Race sponsors, increasing net revenue by 30%.➢ Built collaborative relationships and strategies with diverse organizations, such as Minneapolis and St. Paul Public Schools, Project for Pride in Living, Ka Joog, and Special Olympics Minnesota.➢ Increased focus on staff development and support, resulting in significantly higher levels of staff retention and satisfaction.
