Managed the City’s Franchise Team, a multi-department and multi-disciplinary team of engineers, lawyers, public relation specialists, financial analysts and expert consultants, which negotiated a multi-billion dollar agreement for the City’s gas & electric services. Worked closely and managed utility experts to develop best-in-class franchise provisions for the City’s gas & electric services (last negotiated in 1970) which would generate over $2.4 billion in revenue to the City over a 20 year term.Crafted policies within the franchise which would require utility and City to form a Joint Policies Guide to address climate equity, GHG reduction, and local distributive energy goals.Established relationships with C-Level executives at several multinational energy firms including Berkshire Hathaway Energy, NextEra Energy, and San Diego Gas & Electric. Gathered feedback and built relationships with many stakeholder groups in both the public and private sector to better understand the needs and desires of both residential and commercial ratepayers. Monitored and executed on $1.2 million dollars in consultant contracts.
