During my time, 5.5 has grown from a start up to an SME with clients and development teams based globally. I worked with the directors and staff of 5.5 to implement systems and processes to establish a scalable business model to handle rapid growth. I was involved in bringing clients on board; from the initial meeting, I worked with the clients to understand their problems, needs and strategic goals to craft a product and solution roadmap. During my time, the business has been able to achieve and deliver on a pipeline which increased by over 300% and support an increased customer base of 400%. I was involved with the training and management of employees at 5.5KEY ACHIEVEMENTS Within the first 3 months I worked with the team at 5.5 to implement the below systems and processes to establish a scalable model to enable sustainable growth and expansion:• Project on-boarding and scope writing processes• Trained all relevant staff on Agile (SCRUM) methodologies and rituals • Designed the technology roadmap to match company goals• Identified strategic partnerships, used to grow the company brand and reach• Adopted GIT version control to secure the IP of the business• Created testing guidelines to increase the stability of the releases• Introduced accurate time tracking and reporting in all areasModularised the developmentBy creating a range of easily maintainable micro-services and modules that complemented each other, the team and I were able to design new products and services which the team was able to deliver. Glintech is an Australian IT services provider for Enterprise clients. I worked as a consultant advising companies in various different areas ranging from front-end JavaScript frameworks at Gumtree to the re-factoring of UNSW's internal products using PHP and Azure. Whilst there I also designed and developed a product called Webfluence which is a new content management system to sit above existing technologies such as confluence. The product creates a static, mobile responsive website from a Confluence space and deploys it to a range of different hosting options. In addition to this is also had the ability to integrate with multiple API’s and display the data consume in a web friendly format, available in native confluence or the rendered website.Key achievements:• Became a Certified Google Cloud Engineer.• Completed SCRUM Master training.• Worked in agile environments as product owner, SCRUM Master and developer.• Re-architected various front-end components at Gumtree.• Re-developed the internal clearing management system for UNSW• Designed and developed a content management system product, Webfluence. • Developed a suite of extensions for confluence to allow users to organise dynamic content within confluence.• Secured the initial clients for the product Webfluence. • Used Webfluence to develop the company’s website.

In my time at hothouse I have worked closely with the CEO to restructure the company into a scalable digital agency, which can cater for the needs of its clients. To accomplish this I've migrated the company and our clients from a rigid waterfall time based model to a more flexible agile task based system with heavy focus on deadlines and deliverables. This has enabled me to source 3rd party vendors that can help cope with spikes in our demand and concentrate on improving the collaboration and efficiency of a consistent internal team.To achieve such a change I developed new tools and processes to help staff deliver more efficiently. Some of the changes I have implemented in Hothouse to date are:• The implementation of the GIT version control system• Integration of Jira into our development process to allow greater insight into the projects progress, bug tracking and general task management.• Changed the delivery method of Toyota's website to allow easy rollback and faster deployments.• Creation of a standardized development environment.• Enforced coding practices and standards.• Reconfiguration of the teams to encourage cross skill communication.• Implementation of regular code reviews.• Re-architected the new front-end platform for Toyota's website from the ground up.• Started the creation of a constant integration solution.My focus in this role was to facilitate the work through the company, in the most efficient way, and assist in the architecture of new solutions. With this in mind I have taken Devops and integrated it into the culture of Hothouse by incrementally adding processes, bedding them in with training and repetition then moving onto the next. This has increased efficiencies in numerous areas of the business and allowed Hothouse to grow into a more efficient and scalable digital agency.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, I managed the whole development life-cycle of multiple simultaneous projects, from concept to maintenance. I developed best practices for future projects and enhanced procedures to minimize and eradicate bottlenecks. Providing technical solutions and training to help grow the company skill-sets and improve overall efficiency. Promoted from Senior Developer to Group Manager to Technical Project Manager, I consistently demonstrated the managerial and technical skills needed. Stroke Detection System - Developing the hardware and software that allowed the early detection of strokes.•Attended multiple conferences regarding engineering, mobile hardware development and medical applications. • Helped provide feedback on multiple computer related masters projects.• Developed the first early stroke detection system that does not use expensive ECG data. • Developed the system in C++, converting algorithms from perl, Basic, Python and Java. • Conducted lab tests to identify key sound signatures. • Invented new sound analysing techniques to identify early onset of stroke. • Designed and produced the initial hardware for the system. • Conducted testing of the system in multiple hospitals across the midlands. • Personally produced the first "GP" mechanical thrombectomy device prototype that went into human testing.
