To provide direct student support to an assigned caseload of students as they unlock their potential, activate their plans, secure their opportunities and build their community. Each academic year, I am teaching up to 4 sections of the 1-credit hour First-Year Thriving course focusing on thriving at a liberal arts institution. You’ll also contribute to the advancement of the Hubs within the College of Arts and Sciences and through other duties as assigned.

- Direct, implement, facilitate, & evaluate culturally inclusive programming around an array of Student Life and Leadership topics, including, but not limited to, programming for international, veteran, Greek, transfer, first-generation, & first year students;- Develop learning outcomes and goals for student participants and student employees;- Develop an assessment plan that will identify student outcomes and creates opportunities that promote learning and leadership within our student population;- Develop training sessions for student and professional staff to help identify, address, and serve the needs of our students;- Develop fall and spring training programs for Carolina Union Student employees;- Direct and lead programs that increase student involvement, leadership, and service. Oversee and manage logistics for several campus events and advisement of student groups.- Direct and advise officially recognized student organizations, including working with students, departments within the Carolina Union and across the University;- Advise and counsel student organizations regarding information and records administration through Heel Life an interactive database management system;- Advise and counsel student organizations on efforts related to private gift and fundraising;- Direct and lead seminars and other training efforts involving co-curricular programs that augment and extend classroom learning;- Advise faculty and staff who work with co-curricular organizations;- Serve as an advisor for a department in Student Government;- Coordinate with other Carolina Union staff to create sustainable & equitable Learning and Leadership initiatives;- Identify grant opportunities and funding sources for department initiatives and apply for relevant grants at the local, state, and/or national level;- Participate on Student Affairs, University, and/or community committees, coalitions, task forces, and/or search committees

● Plan and execute campus-wide events and programs including Falcon Family Weekend (FFW) and Get Involved Fair ● Operate OrgSync functions for efficient communication, finance management, and information collection amongst student organizations● Supervise, train, evaluate, and recruit the Get Involved Team program, a group of undergraduate peer advisors who connect students with student organizations and involvement opportunities● Advised External Relations branch of Dance Marathon through weekly one-on-one meetings with assistant directors, weekly executive board meetings, and support at major programming events● Consult Student Budget Committee in allocation of $419,930 general fee dollars to student organizations● Conduct drop-in advising and facilitated training for student organizations related to organizational registration, development, funding, travel, and campus resources, policies, and procedures● Design training curriculum and administer student organization officer training
