Reporting to the Chief Executive, I lead the head office accounting function of a national provider of nursery provision with clients such as the BBC, NEC, The Land Registries and DEFRA.Responsible for monthly management accounting, departmental budgets, financial analysis for tenders, payroll, cash flow and credit control of the company.I made significant improvements to the reporting function by re-designing the management accounts to include greater departmental and business segment analysis whilst relating this to KPIs relevant to the industry i.e. staff cost per nursery place.I increased the efficiency and accuracy of the departmental processes by automating much of the data flow and departmental analysis between the financial and payroll systems (SAGE).
