My own practice is focused on representing large manufacturing companies as they negotiate economic development agreements to locate new plants in the Southeastern United States. Once such a company becomes a client of Burr & Forman, they need expertise in all sorts of legal matters, and their needs help to drive the growth of our firm.My goal is always to build strong, long-lasting client relationships, because such relationships are what sustain a law firm such as ours. I believe I am able to do that because I have the ability to see the big picture and help my clients navigate the numerous issues which arise in every negotiation.I believe my greatest strengths are:> My deep understanding of the legal needs of my clients> Seeing that those needs are met — in a strategic, holistic fashion — by our firm's attorneys> My reputation as a person of integrityOver my 40 years in the practice of law, I have learned that the most important principle is to treat my clients and everyone else I deal with on their behalf with respect, honesty and integrity. My greatest joy outside work is the time I spend with my wife, children and grandchildren. We spend almost every weekend at Lake in the Woods outside Birmingham fishing, swimming, water-skiing or just enjoying each other's company.
