My core duties at this post have been.• Completely updated the whole infrastructure of the school including, but not limited to, servers, desktop machines, cabling, network infrastructure (i.e. switches). In all of these cases the solution has been developed in-house allowing us to maximise our investment in ICT.• The above works have also helped to save the school over £75,000 in third party consultancy and implementation costs.• Developed a standard build process allowing the rebuild of over 120 machines, with post configuration and software installation, in 1 working day.• Developed training materials for staff and provided whole school INSET.• Developed a virtual server infrastructure based on a combination of Hyper-V and VMWare.• Implemented an Office365 solutions for remote document access and e-mail. By using Office365 and not needing an Exchange server on site this freed up hardware and allowed us to implement a Remote Desktop system for staff.• Implemented centralised printing solution including Papercut monitoring and accountancy software.• Currently implementing a new wireless system. This is being rolled out on a trial basis but will then be made available across the site over the next 2 years.• Developed an ICT strategy to allow the school to plan allow the school to budget for new interactive whiteboards and refresh of existing ICT equipment.

Over the last year I have primarily been responsible for the childcare of my children, however, our youngest is just reaching school age and this is why I am currently looking to return to work.I have also been volunteering in local primary schools, offering ICT advice in a wide range of areas ranging from developing ICT Strategies and maintaining networks, through to training on the use of whiteboards and effective use of ICT in the classroom.

Responsible for technology and solutions direction within QueryIT. Including development of the QueryIT Networking Framework, a standard networking solution implemented into a number of UK schools. This framework includes all standard configuration of servers and networking services such as DHCP and DNS, along with Microsoft MDT client deployment, SCCM configuration, Active Directory and Group Policy. The QueryIT Networking Standard uses Microsoft Server (2003/2008) and Desktop (XP/Vista/Win7) technologies.Lead the development of support framework to allow QueryIT to better support customers. The framework was based around a combination of BECTA FITS and ITIL to allow effective, monitored support within the clients environment and allowing QueryIT to identify areas of development and training needs.Development of remote access solutions using a combination of Virtual Private Networking, Microsoft Terminal Services and Microsoft Sharepoint server, allowing all clients remote access to their networks from a range of remote devices such as home PC's, laptops and mobile devices.Managing a team of 5, responsible for implementation of new networks, and support of existing systems.Project manager, responsible for developing and integrating new network systems into clients infrastructure. Including analysis of customer needs and presentation of solutions to client stakeholders, through to managing the implementation team and providing post-install support.Responsible for presentations to stakeholders, regarding the company performance and direction.

Responsible for design and implementation of new �1.1 million Microsoft Windows based network for a new school in the heart of East London. Initially this network design was based on Windows NT 4 server and client infrastructure which was later migrated to Windows 2000.Managed the ICT Support team to provide effective support within the school.Monitoring and evaluating SLAs with third party suppliers.Responsible for developing new methods of using ICT to aid the administration and teaching systems within the school.Provide training on the effective use of ICT to both teacher and associate staff within the school.

Part of a team providing first and second level support to all 15 secondary and 88 primary schools within the London Borough of Newham.Led project to migrate all schools from Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 to NT 4.0. The main focus of this project was to perform the upgrade while keeping the impact on the existing administration systems within the schools to the bare minimum.Responsible for training existing ICT staff within ITASS on the implementation and support of Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
