I was stationed in the school's library to organise library annual and monthly events. I would cooperate with Tsakane Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Library along with Nalibali and other reading companies to promote reading in the school I worked at (Tsakane Primary School) and other schools. I would email district officials using the school's email address to send them the library celebration event reports. I also would attend PYEI Reading Champion meetings and trainings at other schools and virtual meetings I would print and photocopy papers for teachers. I would type policy documents for HODs (Departmental Heads). I would draft circulation forms and parental informant letters using MS office Word and I would type and update QMS profiles for educators. I would repair the library printer. I would clean and vacuum the library and would pack and organise books in order. I would create book lending cards for learners and would run library reading competitions for learners. I assisted learners with reading, research, homeworks, projects and assignments. I monitored learners when they read every afterschool in my Reading Club.In November 2023, I got stationed in a classroom as a teacher assistant. So my roles changed a little. I demonstrated leadership by functioning as an examiner for learners during their November examinations. I assisted my classroom colleague teacher with photocopying and typing. I also helped with compiling learner profiles. I helped with creative arts and physical education with monitoring and leading the learners on which sports to exercise. I made sure that the classroom was also kept clean, neat and tidy by the learners. When action called for it, I sometimes had to implement disciplinary/punishment measures to learners. Finally I would teach learners how to read efficiency and how to pronounce words effectively.
