I am motivated by making positive and lasting impact to the health and wellbeing of older members of our society. My core values are authenticity, empathy and pragmatism. I hold the view that the best design solution to any complex issues need to be founded on the principles of strength-based approach, human-centred design, multi-disciplinary informed design and evidence based design. My life, education and work background have led me to to pursue three separate yet interlinked areas in the field of ageing:- provide more high quality age-friendly accommodation options- create more opportunity for older Australians to access the healing power of music, movement and dance and other art forms in both community and institutional settings - advocate for more culturally appropriate care My skills and experience in design thinking, project management, stakeholder engagement and community development works guided by my core values make me well-placed to make a positive and lasting impact to the health and wellbeing of our older population. It is a vision worthy of putting heart and sweat to because ultimately it affects all of us directly (now or in the future) as well as indirectly (for our friends and loved ones).
