I managed the Firefox for Android engineering team. My team was responsible for building and shipping one of the highest rated mobile browsers on Android, used by tens of millions of people.I worked closely with our product and UX leads to develop our product roadmap, and drive our development process. Although people management was my primary responsibility, I still spent a significant amount of time in the code, both writing and reviewing patches.

Building and maintaining the Firefox for Android user interface.Some of the main features I worked on include text selection, feedback solicitation, distribution support, reader mode, in-product announcements, and add-on APIs. I also worked to increase volunteer contributions to Firefox for Android.From October 2012 to January 2013, I took a break from Firefox for Android to work on the first release of Firefox OS. My work was mainly on gaia, the user interface layer of the OS.

Performing human computer interaction research by developing web applications for data management and social computation at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab.Contributed code to Exhibit, a web application programming interface for managing, displaying, and sharing lightweight structured data, including a Mediawiki extension that allows users to create “Exhibits” within wiki pages.Collaborated with MIT Information Services and Technology (IS&T) to create a dynamic MIT course catalog, Course Picker, which has been adopted by MITʼs course management system.Contributed to FeedMe, a recommendation system that learns what your friends like to hear about and helps you share it with them.

Designed and implemented an experimental prototype of an about:me page for Firefox, which gives users an interesting view of statistics about their browser usage. Prototype was released on addons.mozilla.org and has received a 5-star rating and over 37,000 downloads.
