Responsible for parsing application-layer network headers in order to perform optimizations of well-known protocols such as HTTP, DNS, FTP, SMB, etc. HTTP and DNS protocols were optimized to give satellite networks an almost broadband-like experience when web browsing.Worked closely in Agile team environment, where C++ coding standards were adhered to, and code reviews were performed rigorously.Debugged and modified software components as needed. This included investigation of network traffic. Tools such as Wireshark and program-specific instrumentation were used.Worked with common code repository programs Perforce and Git and common ticket tracking software Jira and Devtrack.
