As a student demonstrator, I supervise and assist with various undergraduate chemistry labs. This involves being aware of health and safety protocol, providing support to students, and marking where required. I am 1 of 2 third-year chemists brought up to do this role, which is usually reserved for postgraduates and 4th year MChem students.

I was part of a team that facilitated daily visits to our wet lab by various schools and colleges. I played an active role in supporting and supervising the students that come into the lab, taking primary supervision over many groups of students at a time. I was responsible for making sure the students adhere to lab safety protocols as well as quickly dealing with accidents as and when they occur. As well as this, I was a constant line of contact between regular and senior interns - able to answer questions and help other interns on the fly whilst also making sure the students in my care are attended to.

I served as head of an award-winning committee of chemistry students. I was placed in charge of organizing my house's entry for the school's biennial House Music competition. This involved co-ordinating 8 individual teams of students aged 11-18 simultaneously in order to put on a 45 minute performance involving an orchestral piece, a soloist, a close harmony, and a Year 7 song.I lead team meetings with non-musical groups (banner-making, drama, dance, etc) and lead rehearsals with 4 musical teams over the span of 3 months.
