My life has followed a very unique path, the common thread being a dedicated approach to ensuring a positive, meaningful, and longstanding impact on peoples' lives.I've made myself proficient in violin, viola, cello, bass (both), piano, and guitar, focusing on bass and viola with teaching in mind. I served in the Marine Corps as a journalist and PR representative, as well as public speaking in an emcee capacity. While in the Marines, I came out as a transgender woman, leading to an early, but still "honorable" discharge. I spent time as a direct marketing representative before returning to food service in a restaurant and a bookstore cafe. At both places, I adapted to the needs of the team, at the bookstore by picking up some "slack" for management during an extended personnel transition, the restaurant by working several positions, at times in the same shift. My current passions include advocating for transgender rights through social media and my local Pride Fest, and sexual health counseling; I've yet to begin formal training, but plan to.
