We know that women experience addiction and substance use differently to men. I am passionate about providing trauma-informed, gender-responsive support to women in substance use services, creating women-only spaces to build trust.I have been committed to supporting marginalised individuals throughout my studies and career. I completed my undergraduate dissertation researching ageism in the NHS and my Masters dissertation examined support available for survivors of same-gender intimate partner violence.I have since used these skills in my career, moving from mental health support to supporting survivors of high-risk domestic abuse and into my current role where I specialise in supporting women using substances who are facing multiple disadvantages.
