About Leigh Ann Perry, Ph.D.

LEIGH ANN PERRY, PH.D, NBC-HWC, ACC. I am an Associate Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Science in the College of Leadership and Ethics at the United States Naval War College. I focus on the areas of well-being, resilience, psychology, and mindfulness as they relate to leader development. I am also an Adjunct Professor at Salve Regina University teaching graduate courses in the Criminal Justice and Criminology Department. In addition to teaching, I serve as the RI State Director for the Veterans Yoga Project (https://veteransyogaproject.org/rhodeisland/), National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), and International Coaching Federation (ICF) Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Prior to joining the Naval War College, I worked for the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) and NCIS Criminal Threat Division, and was a regional team lead for Facebook’s Global Security Intelligence and Investigations team, focusing on terrorism and dangerous organizations. I'm accustomed to collaborating with end-users to assure the value of research topics, and to concisely articulate the results along with programmatic ideas that will align with the organizational mission to improve human lives.
