Senior Relationship Case Manager
CurrentAs a Senior Life Case Manager at Ash Brokerage this position serves as a liaison between high producing agents/brokers and insurance carriers to expedite the application and issue process for life insurance applications. Medically & financially underwrite and assess the risk of existing and potential clients, produce sales illustrations, discuss life insurance planning and solutions.Review related medical information and identify issues that may obstruct issuance of the policy as applied for, and develop creative solutions, presenting agents with alternatives. Perform “pre-underwriting" function through review and analysis of medical and occupational information, family history and beneficiary designation. Identify issues which may impede issuance of the policy. Based on assessment and on knowledge of practices of individual carriers, contact carrier underwriting staff to confirm validity of issues. Confer with writing agent to discuss coverage alternatives. Based on age, face amount and individual carrier guidelines, order initial requirements on behalf of the agent/broker. Compare medical information contained in agent's application to that recorded in medical records/ requirements; identify and investigate obvious discrepancies and obtain further documentation as necessary. Through regular contact with agents and underwriters, establish and maintain rapport to enhance working relationships. Capitalize on opportunity to educate agents on various product offerings and the benefits of doing business with Ash Brokerage. Maintain awareness of new or modified product offerings and industry developments. Respond to agent requests for quotes by gathering and assessing client-specific needs and recommending best product for given circumstances. May create illustrations for agent consideration, or may seek input or refer request to Marketing Specialist.
