Providing security leadership into our Enterprise Technology, Digital and Data businesses, interfacing with senior business leaders in supporting the right security decisions to maximise business outcome and cyber security protection.The role also requires management of 10 security architects who provide architecture support and consultation for project initiatives and business uplift, keeping the Bank protected from modern cyber threats.

Leadership of a team of four security architects who provide strategic and project focused security consultation and architecture to the Enterprise Technology business of NAB. My role also required delivery of security architecture engagement on projects designed to bring the latest technology and services to our colleagues and customers.

Delivering pragmatic security architecture services to the Workplace Technology business, helping to ensure the right security controls are defined and implemented in all business improvement activities.

Delivering security architecture expertise to our clients through specific project engagements, as well as supporting new business opportunities.

Provide information technology security pre-sales and architect/design services across Asia Pacific and Japan. Services cover a wide variety of security only engagement covering a broad spectrum of security technology and consulting services, as well as support for larger IT outsourcing opportunities with security specific solutions. This included opportunities in both the public and private sector, and across all industry verticals.

During organisational changes I assumed the management lead of the Asia Pacific and Japan security solution architects contributing solutions to whole of outsourcing tender responses.Summary of duties and core projects:• Managed the APJ team of five ITO security solution architects across three countries, who contributed to the security organisation exceeding sales targets.• Performed workload management and deal allocation of architects to new opportunities. • Interfaced with global security portfolio and delivery teams to support team members solution objectives.• Tracked deal activities with weekly and monthly reporting of security deal statistics, using self created reporting models.• Provided mentoring and guidance to employee newly moved into the security focus.• Continued to perform security solution architect work on large whole of outsourcing deals.

Provided security leadership with architecture of security solutions and designs as part of the Asia Pacific and Japan solution architect team addressing varying customer outsourcing opportunities, for both existing and new clients.Summary of duties and core projects:• Provide security Subject Matter Expertise and security risk advice to pursuit opportunities, working with local and remote solution designers and solution leads. Deals covered public and private sector across Asia Pacific and Japan, and all industry verticals.• Support existing HP outsourcing account teams with security solution design expertise to support growth opportunities.• Provide written documentation/proposal responses for delivery to clients as part of deal submission.• Work with delivery organisation for deal review to demonstrate appropriateness and validity of proposed solution and costs.• Provided regional leadership of security within the solution architect team to define and develop enhancement opportunities and cross skill team members with security capabilities.• Mentor new security solution designers, and drive consistency of practices in security solution activities.• Provided regional input and ownership of global initiatives affecting the security solution architect team.

Asia Pacific and Japan regional operations lead for assurance review of security solutions prior to submission to clients. I was responsible for verification of design suitability against client requirements, and validation that solution met delivery guidelines.Summary of duties and core projects: • Led the design, implementation and operation of the Asia Pacific and Japan Security Deal Assurance program, responsible for working with solution architects for security reviews of deals, aligning design with delivery capability and cost requirements.• Provided APJ representation into global security Deal Assurance program.• Ensured Security Management practices in place within Asia Pacific and Japan customers and the teams delivering services.• Provided APJ representation on World Wide security projects, and responsible for ensuring these were deployed within the region following corporate guidelines and directives.• Developed reporting capabilities for deal tracking allowing multiple views of deal review data, reducing the monthly report generation time from hours to minutes.• Security focal point and facilitator for SAS70 Type II assessments of the local HPE Data Centre, in both instances achieving successful attestation of controls.

During this period I served in many different security capacities across Asia Pacific and Japan, including close involvement in many global teams and initiatives.Summary of duties and core projects:• Asia Pacific and Japan Security Deal Support and Consulting Practice (SDSCP) team lead (2005 – 2009) performing end-to-end activities of the deal pursuit lifecycle, inclusive of resource workload management, program improvement activities and escalation point.• Global SDSCP Alignment Lead (2007 – 2009), responsible for alignment of all regions to standard solution models and framework, and driving the creation of standard tools and processes for improved SDSCP operations.• Ensuring Security Management practices in place within Asia Pacific and Japan customers.• Provide regional representation on global security projects, and responsible for ensuring these were deployed within the region following corporate guidelines and directives.• Provide security review, consultation and risk assessment for new projects and changes to infrastructure used in delivering services to outsourcing customers in Asia Pacific and Japan. • Led the Asia Pacific and Japan Risk Assessment practice for the region from 2006 – 2009, and participated as the regional representative to the global program.• Provide security consultation to outsourcing customers and delivery teams around security improvement opportunities. • Audits of delivery teams to assess the level of compliance to contractual obligations and applicable security policies.• Security subject matter expert for selected clients and corresponding delivery teams to minimise risk and improve policy compliance.• Active member of global Security Incident Response Team for a 18 month period, managing reported incidents during local business hours, and on call over weekends.

Member of the Asia Pacific and Japan network services team, managing internal network infrastructure for the region, with a key focus on Australia and New Zealand.Summary of duties and core projects:• Provided network infrastructure support for Hewlett-Packard sites in Australia and New Zealand. Core responsibilities included troubleshooting network problems, monitoring network performance, maintaining network security, and enhancements for changed business requirements and technology.• Designed and implemented new network infrastructure for remote HP offices and Business Partners, designing a 'dual LAN’ solution for productivity improvement of business partners.• Primary DNS Administrator for the internal domain and Australia DHCP administrator.• Assisted in design and Administration of the software used for IP Address assignment and management for Australia and New Zealand. This included responsibility for design, development and management of all IP related service/usage billing, and deployment of the software across Asia Pacific and Japan.• Networking contact for all Australasian Business Partner integration issues. This encompassed requests for configuration changes, new site requests, design and consultation as well as ownership for all Y2K upgrade requirements.• Maintained understanding of security (risk and audit) to ensure protection of HP Australia and New Zealand from network originating security threats.• Designed and developed the solution used to monitor and test Australia and New Zealand network infrastructure during Y2K roll over using PERL scripting. Solution utilised by global network operations to monitor impact of Y2K as it was happening.• Involved in the network design and implementation for new HP offices.

Member of a team of desktop engineers providing support and project work to internal employees across Australia and New Zealand.Summary of duties and core projects:• Provided PC Support to HP employees throughout Australia and New Zealand.• Performed remote HP office visits to ensure continued PC client stability and provide user training on new technology, owning Canberra and Brisbane locations.• Aided in migration of Microsoft PC platforms to latest Microsoft releases.• Aided in the migration of user accounts from UNIX to NT Servers.• Upgraded and maintained PC Faxing solution for Australia and New Zealand.• Dedicated business contact for professional services organisation to manage all IT projects and support requirements.• Developed enhanced services to improve support integration between service desk and support teams.
