Influenced by her passion for both the urban and the natural environment, Leila combines global expertise and in-depth understanding of the built environment to create impactful designs that change people’s experience of the world for the better. Working across project types, she has delivered a range of interior, architecture and urban design projects in the US, Asia and in the UK, with a special focus on adaptation/re-use and the circular economy. She now uses this architecture and design expertise as a strategist and trusted advisor alongside clients and integrated project teams to achieve mutual aspirations of occupant health and wellbeing and environmental stewardship. A curious designer, she believes in bringing people with different backgrounds and interdisciplinary points of view together to create holistic solutions that are tailored to her clients’ needs, delivering data and research-based measurable results. She previously served as a Regional Design Resilience Leader for Europe. A passionate speaker, Leila has also been actively involved in Gensler’s thought leadership event series and looking at what’s shaping the future of London, Denver and the world beyond.Throughout 14 years with Gensler she has been a part of the DC, Shanghai, London, and Denver offices and now is part of the Sustainability Strategy Team, specializing in Wellness.
