Eric is a Co-Studio Director in Gensler’s Shanghai office with over 25 years of international experience leading the design and management of award-winning landmark projects of diverse scales and complexity from tall buildings and mixed-use developments, to corporate headquarters and cultural centers. Eric’s strategic insight and close collaboration with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and planning authorities mobilizes design synergies that have created highly integrated environments across China, Asia, and North America. His understanding of client goals and approach to design innovation creates transformative projects that shape the way we interact with our urban environments and generate exemplary models of design resilience. Prior to joining Gensler, Eric was engaged in key leadership roles at Buro Ole Scheeren in Beijing, OMA in Beijing/Rotterdam/New York, and Gluckman Tang in New York.His projects have won numerous awards, including the World Building of the Year at the World Architecture Festival 2015 and CTBUH Urban Habitat Award 2014 for The Interlace in Singapore, two CTBUH Award of Excellence 2019 awards for DUO and MahaNakhon, A+ Awards Finalist for the Architizer Awards 2019 for the Guardian Art Center in Beijing, and the CTBUH Tallest Building in Thailand Award 2016 for Mahanakhon in Bangkok. Eric received his Master of Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors in Philosophy and Fine Arts from the College of William and Mary in the US.
