The Power Generation Global Cyber Security Manager, is a member of the overall the Industrial Automation Cyber Security Council. This entails researching the global market and international regulatory cyber security requirements and facilitates an understanding of needs across the division. The role is also accountable for coordinating cyber security approach within power generations’ developed products and with the global Power Generation product management team. Additional responsibility for supporting and coordinating Local Business Units and Regional Engineering Centers by providing information and material to support the security solutions and best practices implemented within their specific markets. The Cyber Security Manager also serves locally as the manager of the System Security and Compliance Center. This role manages personnel that are responsible for the operation of the security center. This team provides key technical support and direction to internal ABB groups (Sales, Marketing, Proposal, System Engineering and Operational Excellence) within the Power Generation North American business unit. Provides world-class consultation directly to customers and end users. Bring new and leading technology to market through by developing new and innovative application project solutions.

Responsible for managing a group of consultants to the Power Generation market. Duties included negotiating site audit projects, direct consulting, preparation of performance appraisals and timely approval of expense reports and time sheets. Work with power marketing group to develop consulting services brochures and trade show equipment demonstrations. Work with the sales organization to define pursuit strategies and support customer presentations. Competencies included network architecture and security design, wireless applications and asset management, system interface and integrations, plant simulation and historians.

Responsible for providing the US Plant Automation business unit with key technical application support in the areas of plant networking, systems integration and security. Duties include supporting individuals and project teams for original design work, design standardization, design reviews, contract support, audits, sales, marketing and proposal support. Additional functions include providing training internally to proposal / project / field engineers and externally to plant engineering personnel as well as participating in industry organization conferences and presentations.

Responsible for coordination of activities related to design and integration of hardware and software for steam boiler control systems. This includes combustion control, balance of plant, data acquisition, motor controls, burner management, performance calculations, historian, and other applications for different types of boilers. Integrated programmable logic controller (PLC) subsystems into plant wide control systems via serial data link. . Served as point of contact for customer's requests for technical information.

Extensive national/international travel for troubleshooting and repair electronically controlled, high power switching equipment. Responsible for inspecting and giving factory approval to energize new installations. Perform preventive maintenance and operational tests on existing substation equipment up to 230KV. Review applications, make recommendations on auxiliary equipment and evaluate fault causes.
