I have been in the people business for three decades. I was an elementary school teacher driven by the goal to make a difference in children's lives. Leadership and school transformation led me to become a school principal before I was 30 years old.Seeing a need for more impact, I worked as a district level administrator to provide staff development and instructional strategies for the 7th largest school district in California. During that time, I also recruited teachers around the country to work in San Bernardino City Unified.Realizing that I had a love for recruiting and leadership development, I ventured into the world of entrepreneurship and built an agency with 25 offices from California to New York with over 1,500 licensed insurance agents and retirement specialists. I sold my business for a lucrative exit, traveled the world, and wanted to scratch the recruiting itch again, but with the most important cause of my life.Now, my focus is on mental health. I will spend the rest of my life being an advocate for those with mental health challenges. I'm grateful for progress, but the battle is not over until we eliminate the stigma of mental illness.
