For over 20 years, I've had the privilege of working with councils, urban planners, local businesses, and start-ups in niche industries like smart technology, out-of-home advertising, and waste management. My journey started with involvement in native title negotiations with Aboriginal communities, which laid the foundation for my passion for serving and improving communities through innovative solutions. In 2000, I founded BenchAD, a venture that evolved into Global Smart Cities (trading as yStop) by 2016. The drive to innovate led to the creation of Matter in 2019, where we challenge the status quo and pioneer new technologies that make a real difference. Our award-winning products automate stormwater and waste management, leveraging cutting-edge sensor technology and AI software to revolutionise these sectors. At Matter, we’ve developed the world's most advanced, scalable stormwater sensor designed to better manage flash floods, potentially safeguarding assets and communities. Our smart waste systems are equally transformative, saving councils across Australia thousands of operational hours.
