I am a passionate development worker with almost 20 years of experience of working with rights-based programs in mainly Africa and Asia. I have a strong background in child, youth and women's participation and inclusive governance, including in conflict-affected countries. I have worked with both civil society strengthening and strengthening of state institutions, as well as improving dialogue and accountability in between these. My broad experience and holistic perspective to rights-based development, enables me to work also with other issues related to human rights, democracy and peace-building. Contributing to the fulfilment of human rights is the fundamental motivation for me.I am results-oriented, but I also put effort and value into the process towards results. Developing visionary strategies and creative team-work is something I enjoy very much. I was responsible for quality assurance and strategic development of the organisations work to strenghten civil society in favour of children´s and young people´s rights, with a particular focus on girls and young women. The work entailed supporting programs to effectively strenghten civil society to play its intended role, as well as how to adapt and respond to the shrinking democratic space for civil society. I supported internal capacity and processes to effectively apply equitable partnership principles, for example when partnering with youth-led organsations and community based organisations. I led and coordinated a team of four regional advisors, and together we have contributed to that the issues are significantly more prioritised and strategically approached by the organisation and in programs.

I also succesfully initiated the organisations work on issues of capital flight in the region, which recevied coverage in Al-Jazeera.

My task was to advice on youth issues and faciliate consolidation of the network in each country as well as regionally.
