Continuous Improvement Engineering InternPeacock Engineering Company, Llc May 2014 - Aug 2014My main focus at Peacock Engineering was leading a summer long, SPC software implementation project to decrease downtime and eliminate non value added activities on two particular production lines, involving more than two dozen different SKUs. In doing so, this project also eliminated the lead time between data collection, allowing for instantaneous data sample analysis. Upon completion of this implementation, I also authored user friendly, technical documentation for other employees to be able program ASI Datametrics for additional production lines and products.Aside from my main project, I was also responsible for completing other continuous improvement activities targeting to eliminating all types of waste; varying from daily tasks to short term projects. These activities were driven by a dynamic training regimen created by my supervisor, a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Such topics included but were not limited to 5S Principles, DMAIC problem solving, cost of defect analysis, improvement technique hierarchy, and statistical process control tools, coincided with advanced utilization of Minitab and Excel.
