Worked with both Continental’s Energy Team and Continental's Mission Critical Team as an Project Manager. In this role I ran my own Commercial and Industrial Solar Energy Projects, while nurturing some of our constant presence data center accounts. Prior to this role I spent a year in the Special Projects Team completing similar tasks, and before that I was in Continental’s Project Manager in Training (PMIT) program for a year and a half. The PMIT program provided deep exposure to each of the Purchasing, Engineering, and Estimating teams. That experience was an excellent method to become familiarized with the company's structure, the electrical industry, as well as what other departments within my company can do to help me better assist my customers.

As a Project Manager, I took ownership of mid to large scale projects; bringing various sheet metal, tubing, and wire to life as dynamic custom point of purchase display units. To get our high end displays to our customer in a timely fashion, I managed production starting in the introductory design stage, all the way through engineering, material purchasing, fabrication/manufacturing, finishing, and logistics. My main focus at Peacock Engineering was leading a summer long, SPC software implementation project to decrease downtime and eliminate non value added activities on two particular production lines, involving more than two dozen different SKUs. In doing so, this project also eliminated the lead time between data collection, allowing for instantaneous data sample analysis. Upon completion of this implementation, I also authored user friendly, technical documentation for other employees to be able program ASI Datametrics for additional production lines and products.Aside from my main project, I was also responsible for completing other continuous improvement activities targeting to eliminating all types of waste; varying from daily tasks to short term projects. These activities were driven by a dynamic training regimen created by my supervisor, a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Such topics included but were not limited to 5S Principles, DMAIC problem solving, cost of defect analysis, improvement technique hierarchy, and statistical process control tools, coincided with advanced utilization of Minitab and Excel.
