Leo joined Emerson in 1973 and, since 2002, has focused on the growth and expansion of the company in his role as President for Emerson Latin America. Currently, he oversees Emerson operations in Latin America, with annual sales of $1.6 billion and plant operations output of $3 billion, and Emerson Process Management Latin America, with annual sales of $730 million.During his career at Emerson, he has held the positions of General Manager, Director of Marketing & Applications Engineering and International Marketing Engineer. In those positions, he led all general management functions including planning, mergers & acquisitions, P&L responsibility, sales, marketing, operations and services for different Emerson Process Management Business Units.Leo has extensive experience within the engineering, manufacturing and technology sectors. Following his career with Emerson, Leo joined the SpaceFund Venture Capital Group in Houston, Texas as General Partner and Advisor. Leo is currently advising the Board of Directors in the admittance of new venture capital companies. These companies cover the complete ecosystem of deep space, cislunar, and satellite defense companies that will create sustainable competitive advantage in national security.
