As the Yard Foreman I was entrusted to maintain, inventory and organize the yard. Loading and unloading of trucks, low boys, freight vans, over sea containers , and smaller job vans. ensure that the outgoing supplies lists were filled completely, that cargo and loads were properly secured before leaving the yard. Ensure that runners were informed of proper site locations. Assist field crews in loading inventory and unloading and re-inventory returned items. With the use of wheeled loaders and skid steers to maintain yard surfaces and snow removal. general yard cleanup of debris. On many occasion the use of a 1 ton and goose neck trailer for delivery of items to field crews as well as inventory transfers from one office to another. Daily maintenance inspections of equipment being used in the yard. Monitor supplies in the yard, i.e. propane, acetylene and oxygen tanks, fuel tanks, etc.

I started in the manufacturing shop, Building walking beam compressors as well as the pressure bypass systems for new installs. In the short time I was there I instilled a new building system that helped to increase production by 300%. Soon after I was able to certify and quality control the finished products before leaving the shop to be installed in the field. Later on i was promoted to an install crew, primarily in Southern Saskatchewan. I was then promoted to a service crew and eventually given my own service truck. As foreman of a service crew it was imperative to be able to think on your feet and to be able to solve problems immediately. As well as having paperwork and work orders finalized in timely a manner.
