Undergraduate Bachelor of Psychological Science degree with Griffith University.With over 26 years experience working in 4 industries (Film and TV, Hospitality, Royal Australian Air Force, Security), I have developed vital interpersonal communication skills. I am a highly structured and well organised individual with a strong sense of ethics. My learnt self-discipline and confidence provides foundation for the hard work and perseverance I am willing to contribute to an organisation. I am a qualified mental health first aider who expresses compassion and care for others. My listening and attending skills help to provide a safe and secure environment for people to feel they can disclose most matters, and that they’ve been understood. I enjoy running, gym, and playing music in a concert band. I believe it is important to have Mental Health First Aiders within workplace settings to promote positive workplaces, and support co-workers through difficult times.Volunteered with Childhood Cancer Support, 2024Childhood Cancer Support Inc. organised a weekend camp for children and families undergoing treatment for cancer. Volunteers were required to assist with setting up activities and assist with helping children and their families move between activities and participate.INTERESTSSouth-East Queensland Symphonic Winds, 1998-CurrentI play Tuba and Trombone in a concert band. I have rehearsed and performed with the band for over 20 years. The band performs at various venues across Brisbane during the year. I am the leader of the lower brass section. I have organised events for the 9 players in this section for 5 years. Another pastime I enjoy is keeping fit through running and gym.
