This role focuses on claims adjusting and continuous improvement of claims processes for new and innovative products and solutions. You will work closely with home office claims process owners and other cross functional stakeholders to test new products and claims processes. You will independently handle Personal Lines and Business Lines APD claims (repairable and total loss) under limited supervision. You will partner with claims enabler groups (SIU, Subro, etc.) to make final coverage and liability decisions, while providing differentiated customer experience to new product customers. You will escalate potential risks or problems with new product processes and work with project managers to problem solve and you will have an opportunity to present your continuous improvement findings to the Claims incubator team, leadership and cross functional stakeholders.

• Strong experience negotiating and settling claims involving injury, and personal property and automobile damages, while developing and cultivating relationships. Manages, investigates, and resolves claims. Investigates and evaluates coverage, liability, damages, and settles claims within prescribed authority levels. Identifies potential suspicious claims and refers to SIU and identifies opportunities for third party subrogation. Communicates with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information regarding claims, refers tasks to auxiliary resources as necessary, and advise as to proper course of action. Responds to various written and telephone inquiries including status reports. Ensures adequacy of reserves. Accountable for security of financial processing of claims, as well as security information contained in claims files. Makes effective use of loss management techniques. Negotiates settlements with attorneys, claimants, and/or co-defendants. Arranges for expert inspections involving third party or potential fraud actions as needed. Updates files and provides comprehensive reports as required .Draft, issue, and explain liability, reservation of rights ,and coverage denials to customers and attorneys.

Investigated, evaluated, negotiated, and settled Auto claims in an assigned area to include verification of coverage, legal liability and extent of damage to persons and property, which required contact by telephone or various electronic media.
