About Leon Louis

As the Regional lead with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, I am responsible for implementing Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) and Biological Threat Reduction Program (BTRP) priorities, acquisition plans, and facilitate collaboration across various government and Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) teams using the Integrated Project Team (IPT) concept in the Indo-Pacific region. I am a Project Management Professional (PMP®) and have a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) credential with a thorough understanding of Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile project management methodologies to manage project teams and stakeholders. I also have an active security clearance issued by the United States Department of Defense, which enables me to work on sensitive and classified projects. Before my foray into the civilian workspace, I served as an Operations Manager in the United States Air Force for over seven years, where I was responsible for activating and managing Civil Engineer command and control centers during peacetime, wartime, and contingency operations. I supervised 20 military and civilian members across three sections, providing oversight for 9,000 monthly work tasks supporting 21,000 base personnel and $5.2 billion infrastructure. Furthermore, I was fortunate enough to instruct Contingency Operations Management concepts and Rapid Airfield Damage Repair (RADR) to Airmen of various ranks as a Silverflag Instructor. I also completed a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management and Analysis from the University of Arizona Global Campus, where I learned the skills and knowledge to optimize and improve organizational processes and performance. I am passionate about project management, data analysis, contract management, supply chain logistics, and facility management, and I have multiple honors and certifications in these areas. I transitioned from active duty to USAF Reserves IMA and I am fully open to full-time civilian opportunities where I can apply my expertise and experience to make a positive impact.
