Currently a Platform Services Manager for one of the largest Insurers in Australia and New Zealand leading multi-skilled teams based in multiple geographies.Over 10 years management accountability for critical Tier 1 business systems including responsibility for performance, availability, support, development, risk, asset & vendor management for 24/7 websites, core centralised applications, distributed Java and .Net applications and associated integrations including API and middleware.More than 15 years’ experience in IT as a hands on developer, analyst, team lead and overnight support lead across mainframe (Assembler & COBOL/CICS/DB2), distributed applications (VB6, C# .Net smart clients) and Digital/web (ASP.Net, HTML, JavaScript, CSS etc.).One of my key strengths is the ability to understand complex concepts and break them down into simpler terms to be able to then clarify them across multiple audiences with varying levels of technology understanding.I am interested in challenging leadership positions that further my personal development whilst enabling me to drive the IT strategy to generate increased business value whilst motivating the IT teams to improve quality and performance of the IT systems.
