Youth Coordinator
Current• Collect, organize and analyze information about individuals through records, tests, interviews and professional sources to appraise their interests, aptitudes, abilities and personality characteristics for vocational and educational planning.• Compile and study occupational, educational and economic information to aid clients in making and carrying out vocational and educational objectives.• Assist clients to understand and overcome social, economic and emotional problems.• Engage in research and follow-up activities to evaluate counseling techniques.• Utilize community job market information and work requisitions to aid clients.• Develop a job search plan for clients.• Evaluate and aide clients in the development of a resume.• Collaborate with staff from outside agencies and other family centers as needed to maintain good working relationships and to ensure client’s needs are being met.• Search for employers interested in hiring specific specialized skills on clients behalf.• Facilitate youth groups for teens from the ages of 14-21 in a youth-guided setting.• Organize quarterly youth events for over 75 teens within the System of Care.• Engage youth in meaningful learning activities and social activities.• Assist and prepare youth to travel to National Youth Conferences.• Assist youth with transitional housing after aging out of program. • Counsel youth and provide educational and vocational guidance services.• Provide nutritious meals for youth meetings.• Provide transportation to and from monthly youth meetings.• Connect youth to other youth organizations throughout Cuyahoga County.• Participate on monthly National Youth Coordinator conference Calls.• Provide funders with monthly budget and operational reports.
